Warmest Christmas wishes from us all at Headway Bristol

What a brilliant December it’s been in our centres! Our big Headway family (service users, carers, family, volunteers and staff) have shared all the holiday spirit you could wish for.

A Christmas to remember

The “laughter, warmth and genuine connections” that Chair of Trustees Huw mentions in his 2025 message of thanks have been at the centre of all we’ve done, as always. Service users have enjoyed Christmas meals out, pyjama days in, festive quizzes, snacks and crafting. Our centres are now profusions of paperchains, popcorn garlands, snowflakes and trees, complete out with our very own hand-made decorations.

This year, we celebrated our annual Christmas party at the Village Hotel in Bradly Stoke. Attendees enjoyed a delicious buffet, raffle and dancing. Entertainment was provided by Frank Johns and his grandson (the eight-year-old singing sensation Lucciano Mortimore!)

See you in the New Year!

Our services are running up to and including 24 December. We will be closed from Christmas until New Year’s Day. From 2 January our services run as normal, and we’re looking forward to providing tailored support for adults with brain injuries, as well as respite and guidance for their families and carers, in the New Year.

If you need support in the meantime, our new resources section features a list of emergency telephone numbers.

And in January our CEO Mari Holcombe, will be sharing an exciting update on our relocation plans, so keep an eye out for that.

If this time of year is different for you

We know that Christmas is a time for connection and reflection. While we celebrate the progress made this year, we also understand that the festive period can bring unique challenges. We hope your holidays are filled with peace, comfort and the support you need.

Merry Christmas from us, and a special thanks to the service users, carers, family, volunteers and staff who made 2025 so special.
