Introducing our Headway Heroes

Sophie and Rich
Sophie and her dad Rich ran the Westonbirt Arboretum Half Marathon on the 23rd June 2024. They decided to run this race for Headway because Rich had suffered a brain injury when he was just 19. Between them they have raised almost £1500 for Headway by completing this run.

Huw
Huw Ponting, has been our Chair of Trustees for over over 25 years. In May 2023, Huw ran in the Bristol Half Marathon – that’s 13.1 miles! He raised over £4,000 for both Headway Bristol and Bristol Mind.

George
George decided to run the Bristol Half Marathon for Headway Bristol after his colleague at work had a brain aneurysm and was looking at coming on board with our services. As a result, George raised an amazing £800!
