What I do
I support Mari, the Chief Executive Officer at Headway Bristol, and all staff to help ensure the interests and priorities of the charity are promoted and protected. As part of this, I attend trustee meetings, help take decisions about managing charity resources and promote accountability.
My skills and experience
I bring Headway Bristol a wide variety of skills and experience from both the charity sector and the business sectors. In the charity sector, I have been the CEO and Director of Income at the British Institute for Brain Injured Children (BIBIC); the CEO of Cintre, an adult health and social care charity providing a range of residential and community services; and Head of Fundraising for Barnardo’s Cymru. Commercial roles have focused on business-to-business services (nationwide), business development and operational posts.
I’ve been enjoying my retirement in Wales since 2019, but I’m always ready to volunteer my time and skills to support our communities.
