Independent Living Fund

Headway Bristol offers small grants from its Independent Living Fund to those living with an acquired brain injury, to enable them either to preserve their independence or to increase their ability to live independently.

The fund is not a general hardship fund but is intended to enable a person with a brain injury maintain and/or increase their independence. Applicants must demonstrate how this will help them to live independently on the application form.  Grants are intended to help people with items/services which they would otherwise be unable to afford.

Applications are welcomed from those living in the Headway Bristol area i.e. Bristol, North and North East Somerset or South Gloucestershire, or from those currently in the process of moving into the area.

Grants of up to £500 may be awarded, and we will normally only award one grant in any 12 month period. The grant can be either the full or the partial cost of an item or service.
